Community Oriented Response Team (C.O.R.T)

The Weldon Police Department has initiated several Community Based Programs to improve the quality of life in the town of Weldon. The general public is encouraged to participate in all programs  implemented to serve the citizens of Weldon.

Neighborhood Portfolio Exercise- Engage the police department's efforts in identifying community resources and problem solving.

Weldon Police Department and Weldon STEM High School 2013 Senior Class Partnership- specific project- Governor's Highway Safety Program; graphic design for DWI trailer purchased with grant

Home Safety Program - The Weldon Police Department will come to any city residence to assist in evaluating the security level of the home and its premises.

Community Watch - any individuals interested in the community watch program can contact Chief Macon for more information - contact Lieutenant Chris Davis.

Adopt-a-class Program - provides support to local elementary school.

Weldon STEM High JROTC and Police Phone Program- Check on Senior Citizens and people with special needs.
