The Weldon, North Carolina, Board of Commissioners is considering a proposal to amend the Weldon Zoning Ordinance in a manner that will change the maximum building height in both the Highway Business (HB) District and the Industrial District (I-1) from 35 feet to 90 feet.

The Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on this proposed amendment at 6:30 p.m. in Monday, March 22, 2021, at the Weldon Town Hall at 109 Washington Avenue. If anyone wishes to offer comments regarding this matter, they should be submitted to the Town Clerk, in writing, no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 22, 2021. Any written comments must contain the name, address, and signature of the individual submitting the comments.

This memorandum constitutes the 2020-2021 Budget Message I am required to submit to the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Weldon prior to June 1, 2020 (G.S. 159.11(b)). This message and the accompanying documents put forth a plan for the financial operation of the Town of Weldon for fiscal year 2020-2021. The Town does not operate an intragovernmental service fund nor does the Town’s projected fiscal operation include a capital project or a grant project in 2020-2021.
